Talking of catwalk models (as we were yesterday), we return to a theme we have touched on before – influential movie role models and costumes for females. Admittedly the film people are making a bit more effort recently – we have had a couple of new feisty Snow Whites, a worthy successor to Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley character in the ‘Alien’ prequel ‘Prometheus’ (played by the same actress who did the original ‘Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’) and next week everyone has high expectations for Anne Hathaway’s turn as the new Catwoman in the latest Batman film. Furthermore, next month we have ‘Brave’ – Pixar’s new offering – especially good if you happen to be a flame-haired Scottish lass. It might be a short-lived phenomenon, but hopefully we can rise to the challenge with some interesting new costumes to match your enthusiasm to shine and make your mark at your event.
