So aside from the actual sporting activity of the Olympics and their coverage on TV, what are you planning to do whilst the Games are on? Some organisations have given this some thought and been planning their strategy for the last few months – several West End theatres have gone into fallback or darkness mode assuming no-one will be turning up. Meanwhile, several of the supermarket chains have decided to open some branches for 24 hour periods as if people will be so riveted to the goings-on they won’t get to the shops during normal hours.
