Heroes & Villains Fancy Dress Theme

An American themed fancy dress party is always popular today, as it is American Independence Day, when our friends ‘across the pond’ celebrate their separation from the Gangster Fancy Dress Ideasmother country.  Yesterday, we were mentioning Tom Cruise films and of course one of these is ‘Born on the 4th of July’, based on the autobiography of Ron Kovic, a veteran of the Vietnam War.  Independence Day is quite often a good time for major films to be released and 2012 is no exception. This year ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ opened last night both in America and the UK.  As we have mentioned before, Heroes and Villains or Goodies and Baddies are amongst our most popular costume theme requests. However, Superhero and other film related costumes and accessories can sometimes cause a few stock problems for us here at Props & Frocks, particularly when the costume design is upgraded for each new film. Our customers might expect costumes to come onstream at the same time as the film, but this is quite often not the case, due to licensing restrictions and other factors. Like other costume businesses, we have to buy the official licensed products and cannot make our own versions. Sometimes merchandise does not become available until months after the film’s release, so on occasion it does mean it is not always possible to have the right costumes in stock at the time they are required, but as in the case of Spiderman older versions may be available.

We have a huge list of all the Hero & Villain costume ideas you could think of in our information section of this website.
