What do you want? Blood? Well yes, there are those who favour the bloody look for the scary season. Of course with the current enthusiasm for zombies, one can always throw together one’s own creation (it’s a bit of a no-brainer), but remember that many of the fake blood products on sale do not easily wash out of clothing (some are harder to remove than the real thing). By the same token, if you are hiring outfits from us, do not add your own blood – any existing blood effects have been applied by highly skilled specialists and any additional staining may be charged for. Amongst the generic outfits there are the medical professions such as Doctors, Nurses, Surgeons etc. and for a more offbeat aspect, there are several costumes based on storybook characters gone bad, such as Malice in Wonderland and Little Dead Riding Hood.
Given that slasher movies and ‘torture-porn’ have become quite popular, there are a good range of outfits derived from such movies. For a start there are the ‘Horror Trinity’ of Freddy Krueger (‘Nightmare on Elm Street’), Michael Myers (‘Halloween’) and Jason Voorhees (‘Friday the 13th’) and even though there are far fewer female slasher movies (we can only think of ‘Fatal Attraction’ and, at a stretch ‘Dressed to Kill’ and Psycho’), the girls need not feel left out, as there are female outfits based on Freddy, Jason and Michael
That said, the female is of course more deadly (and subtle), and one of our most popular outfits for the girl who wants gore for her money is the Nightmare Prom Queen, a costume derived from the climatic scenes of the film ‘Carrie’ .
