‘Creatures Of Your Imagination’ is today’s fancy dress theme, you can really let your imagination run wild…

On this day in 1952 the celebrated British author Douglas Adams was born. Although probably best known for this radio comedy-cum-TV series-cum film ‘The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ Adams was involved in many other series’ and projects, including contributing to Monty Python , writing several Dr Who scripts and creating a book and TV programme series about endangered species  ‘A Last Chance To See’.

Obviously not everyone may be familiar with the characters and premise of ‘The Hitchhikers Guide’ but unsurprisingly, it has a lot to do with Space and so, as we come to the end of another week, now might be a good time to celebrate Creatures of the Imagination. For those who were thinking it would be a Space theme, there’s a better excuse coming up on Sunday!

Now for this type of costume theme, it is really over to you, there are no rules. If you want, you can stick to a creature that has already been seen, such as Batman or any other superhero costume. You could also look towards Gods or Mythical creatures, or literally make up your own.
