Grace & Glamour Costume Party

For November 12th, we thought we would take a look at Anne Hathaway, who celebrates her twenty-seventh birthday today.  Since her breakthrough in Disney’s ‘The Princess Diaries’ back in 2001, Anne Hathaway has gone on to star in a number of films opposite some great names, including Meryl Streep in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’. She has ‘done’ Jane Austen’s formative years in ‘Becoming Jane’, been a spy in ‘Get Smart’ and been involved in more serious roles in films such as ‘Brokeback Mountain’ and ‘Rachel Getting Married’. Earlier this year she portrayed the White Queen in Tim Burton’s ‘Alice’.

In the November 2010 issue of Vogue she has recently been compared to Audrey Hepburn. As she also shares her birthday with another classic movie star Grace Kelly who was born in 1929, we thought that today we could celebrate Grace and Glamour in all its forms.

Using Anne & Grace as a base, you could broaden this fancy dress theme to Hollywood to make it more appealing to your guests to dress up. If your someof your guests are not really ‘in’ to dressingup, this costume theme gives them a chance to dressup to the nines without feeling that they have not joined in with the theme.
