‘In the Jungle’ is the fancy dress theme for today as we celebrate the 170^th anniversary of the Welsh explorer andjournalist Sir Henry Morton Stanley.  Famous for his one-liner “Dr Livingstone I presume?” Stanley spent an incredible amount of time exploring Africa.

It is also the anniversary of the birth of Alan Alda, who will be 75, having been born in 1936.  His most famous role was back in the 1970s, when he appeared as Hawkeye Pierce in the TV series MASH.  This was set in a military hospital during the Korean War, so a jungle theme is still of relevance, although if you want to play doctors and nurses, we can always accommodate you.

Please bring proof of your address with you if you wish to hire a costume.
