Do you dress your pets up in fancy dress outfits?

As you know, in our ceaseless search to find things to celebrate, we keep all information channels open and so today we learn that in the United States, they are having a National Dress-Up Your Pets Day (although this is the same site that announced it was the birthday of Rubber Duckie off ‘Sesame Street’ yesterday, so take that as you will). Anyway, whilst we are aware of the fact that many owners do like to dress up their pets (mostly small dogs and cats) and ‘the industry’ has responded with a frankly amazing range of outfits, notably Star Wars outfits and some food based outfits, including a hot-dog outfit designed for dachshunds (clever, but slightly cruel). At Props & Frocks pet-wear is not really one of our strong areas (you are better going to one of the pet superstores), although we have been known to help out with the occasional fancy-dress gymkhana and specialist fete event. That said, we are always up for a challenge, so whatever your requirements call on us first.

Depending on the response we get to this blog post may make us decide to stock costumes for dogs and cats, so please let us know what you think, we’d love to know your opinion
