Time Travel is today’s fancy dress theme. If we were able to time travel, we could move forwards and backwards in time, so your costume choice could be from as far away as pre-historic cavemen, right up to futuristic space costumes and anywhere in between. Yesterday, we mentioned one Dr Who and today we celebrate the birthday of another – Sylvester McCoy, who was born Percy James Patrick Kent-Smith in Dunoon, Scotland in 1943.  Sylvester McCoy became the seventh and final Dr Who in the original long running series, which started in 1963 with William Hartnell and finished in 1989.

Now we do not claim to be able to time travel, but when it comes to historical costumes we certainly can help you travel back in time. Whether you are looking for a character from Ancient Times, a Medieval Lord or Lady, a Tudor King or Queen we have the outfit. Perhaps you might like to revisit the Georgian period and dress up as Marie Antoinette or Louis XVI (as long as there are no guillotines in sight you should be alright!). Alternatively, you might like to head to the romantic era of Jane Austen and Emily Bronte or maybe the more straight laced Victorian period is more your thing. If you do not want to go back that far in time we can also offer you costumes and characters from the various decades of the 20^th century.
