We touched upon Witches and Wizard costumes yesterday and prior to the Harry Potter phenomenon these were a staple diet of many Halloween parties.
The classic witch costume can still be seen in a long black robe or dress, plus cape and hat, but things have moved on over the past few years and although black is still a good colour for Halloween, there is so much more choice when it comes to both Witches and Wizards. The witch, shown in the image, is one of our pettitcoat dresses with a few accessories added. Why we like these petticoat dresses is that they can form a base for many different costumes, which (or should we say witch?) means you can use them several times, therefore they represent really good value for money.
Wizards of course also tend to be depicted in long robes, with long beards and large floppy or pointed hats, but thanks to the likes of the Lord of the Rings films, many of the robes have moved away from what was the more traditional moon and stars look to a plain sombre approach. Whatever your take on Witches and Wizards, we stock a variety of costumes, plus accessories such as beards, wigs, masks and hats to make your costume stand out from the crowd.
