Shipping - General Information

We offer a FREE delivery to UK mainland for all orders over £60.00 (excluding VAT, Saturday delivery, islands & highlands, some postcodes in Scotland will also come under this - please contact us if you are unsure).

Check our great rates for shipping your items.

Goods are sent out by Fedex or Royal Mail. We do encourage you to allow 2 working days for delivery to avoid disappointment. Claims for late delivery can only be made if the item arrives 3 working days (or later) than the shipping day.

Our delivery methods allow full trace of your shipment from dispatch until delivered and signed for by you. We use a number of carriers to safeguard delivery to you. Whatever method we use will always require a signature on arrival. (See No Signature Required)

Please note, we cannot be held responsible for incorrect information (address, post code, telephone number, e-mail address, product, size & colour) keyed in by you or your agent. Redirection or return will involve additional costs (please also read 'Refused or 'Return To Sender).

We normally dispatch your orders within 24 hours of receipt but it may take up to 2 days at busy times. As there is no delivery service on Saturday, Sunday or bank holidays, we can not ship on these days.

Order received after 2.30 pm may be sent out the next working day.

We can dispatch orders prior to the bank holiday and weekend, to be delivered on the first or second working day after.

Deliveries are subject to stock availability. If we have a problem with your order such as unavailability of an item we will contact you providing the details you have keyed in on your order are correct.


BFPO

The British Forces Post Office provides a postal service to the armed services.
BFPO addresses are used for the delivery of mail in the UK and world wide. Costings are the same

As this is another service provider we cannot track the item sent in the same way as Fedex and cannot guarantee how long it will take to be delivered.

Please ensure you quote the BFPO postcode.


Telephone Orders

There is no additional charge for telephone orders, as you may wish to have a verbal disccusion with our skilled operatives (i.e. colour, size etc.)

We can take your order on weekends and some bank holidays (please check for our opening times). At busy times you may need to leave a message and one of our team will ring you back.


Large Orders (Mascots & Corporate)

These will be set out by a courier service as outlined in our mascot & corporate information.


Collection Service

Goods can be collected from our shop in Rectory Lane, Battlesbridge, SS11 7QR.
If you chose to collect, please telephone or e-mail your order through to us. The goods will be available for collection once you have received an email or telephone call confirming that the items are ready. Please do not go to the shop unless you have been told your goods are ready, or you may have a wasted journey. Goods can only be collected during normal shop opening times. Goods must have been paid for in full prior to the collection. You will be charged the 'Shop Price' for all orders collected from the shop. Website price only applies to items sent out via one of our shipping agents.

Please Note: We will not accept any returns at the shop. You must contact us for a 'Returns Reference Number' and arrange to send the item back, as per our Returns Policy


Refused or 'Return to Sender' Deliveries

Our courier will only attempt delivery twice, (royal Mail will attempt delivery only once and the goods will need to be collected from a sorting office). If the item cannot be delivered or is refused, we will incur an additional shipping charge. We reserve the right to apply a £9.75 return carriage and administration fee. Goods returned this way will also incur a 25% re-stocking fee.


What Happens if I Am Not In When A Signature Is Required?

Fed-Ex and Royal Mail should leave you a card to advise that they have attempted delivery. The card will give you the information of what to do next.

Fed Ex will ask you to contact them to arrange re-delivery. Please Note: Fed Ex will only attempt to deliver twice. If you are carded for a second time, the item will be returned to the depot. If you do not contact them it will be returned to us. This will incur a 'Return to Sender' charge.

Royal Mail will take the item back to the sorting office and advise you to collect it. The item will be returned to us if it is not collected from them. This will incur a 'Return to Sender' charge.


Please remember you can always give us a different address for delivery, it does not have to be the card's billing address. These additional charges will be deducted from any refund that you may have on the returned goods.


No Signature Required

Sometimes we are requested to leave an item without a signature (over a fence or inside the porch for example). Please request this in the 'special instructions' section on the order form. This is purely at the individual driver's discretion and cannot be guaranteed. Any goods left in this way are the responsibility of you for any potential loss, damage or theft. Props n Frocks Limited or the carrier of our choice cannot be held liable in any way whatsoever.


Our Shipping Options

All of our shipping options are for Monday – Friday, unless specified, as in Saturday shipping. Royal Mail may deliver on a Saturday but this is not guaranteed and is not classed as a 'working day' in general. If you have chosen a delivery option that we are not able to fulfil (due to the size of item, or postcode), we will endeavour to contact you using the contact information you have given us. If we cannot contact you, we will not send the item out to you.

1st Class recorded - Sent by Royal Mail £4.00
Available for: Orders under 1kg in weight. 88% of our orders qualify for this shipping rate. Some items will not qualify for this shipping option if they are very large in dimension – this includes many wings and swords.

Delivery is normally within 5 working days. Please Note: Royal Mail will not accept the item is missing until 15 working days have passed. A signature is required on delivery.

Next Day - Sent by Fed Ex. £6.10
Available for all items up to a weight of 10kg. Delivery is Monday - Friday only and can be anytime between 8.30 - 6.00. A signature will be required.

Some postcodes are not covered by this service, . If you live in the Scottish Highlands, or on a UK islands (some other postcodes will apply) for reasons of accessibility your item will not reach you the next working day. Royal Mail does cover the entire UK but you will still not receive a Next Day service, please be aware of this when ordering your item and give yourself enough time for us to get the items to you in time for your function.

Some postcodes will be charged considerably more, please contact us (before placing your order) if you are aware that you live in a difficult area, or you are not sure if your postcode is covered by Fed Ex's standard delivery charge.

Next Day Before 1 pm - Sent by Royal Mail £9.75
Available on all orders up to 2kg. Some items will not qualify for this shipping option if they are very large in dimension - this includes many wings and swords. This service requires a signature.

Saturday Delivery

Saturday delivery is possible at a cost of £19.93 subject to a maximum weight of 2 kg . We will contact you to give you a cost if your item is over 2 kg

This service is by Royal Mail Special Delivery and will require a signature.


Overseas Delivery

We will advise customers requesting an overseas delivery of the additional delivery charges before we accept the order.

Please allow time for us to calculate the best shipping route and for you to confirm acceptance of the charges. Additional taxes and customs charges are the responsibility of the customer.

We cannot guarantee delivery dates for overseas delivery dates as they are subject to customs clearance in the destination country.

Our standard International Delivery charges are*:

European Union £11.75 up to 1kg. £15.50 up to 2 kg

Rest of Europe £10.00 up to 1kg. £15.50 up to 2 kg

Rest of The World £15.00 up to 1kg. £26.00 up to 2 kg

If your order weighs more than 2kg, or, its dimensions are too large for this service, we will contact you with a price for the shipping.


FAQ's Regarding Shipping

There will not be anyone in to sign for this item, can I have it delivered to my work / friend's / family member's house?
Yes, of course you can. Just make sure that you have completed the correct details in the shipping section of the order form. Please check that the shipping details match on your secure payment form as well.

Do not forget to advise the delivery address that you have sent a parcel to them, we have had parcels refused as they were not expecting anything which delayed the arrivalof the goods.

What happens if I have just popped out to pick my kids up from school and miss the delivery?

Yes*, we have 2 next day options. Fedex can deliver at any time the next working day. Royal Mail will deliver up to 1pm the next working day.(see Shipping Options)
