Fancy Dress Footwear 1970s
Garish colours and glitter made their mark by the middle of the 1970s. Men enjoyed the flamboyance of these huge platforms as well as women. Many taking inspiration from the Glam Rock popstars of the day. Flares were often shorter than what we would expect today, basically to show off the fantastic boots and shoes that were being worn.
Props n Frocks stocks ladies white knee high boots. The difference between the 1960s boots and the 70s was that the heel and platform was higher. some of our designs have a side zip only whereas others have a side zip and front lacing, which does give a bit more flexibility on the width of your calf.
