Today we celebrate the films of Johnny Depp with our fancy dress theme.
This is obviously the week of heart-throbs as, following Tom Jones’ birthday on Tuesday, we have the fact that Johnny Depp turns 49 today. Creator of everyone’s current favourite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, and also uniquely interpreting other roles such as Willie Wonka and The Mad Hatter thanks to his long-time collaborations with Tim Burton, Depp shows no danger of being typecast – one of his future projects is playing Tonto in a new version of ‘The Lone Ranger’ being written by the same people behind Pirates of the Caribbean! Apparently Armie Hammer (who was in ‘The Social Network’) will play the Masked Man himself, but undoubtedly Depp will put is own unique stamp on the role of his sidekick.
In the meantime, we can declare today ideal for a celebration of the films of Johnny Depp. How many can you name?
